Hot or Sweet?

We picked some peppers from the garden. The peppers just came up, we did not plant them. Yesterday at dinner my dad told Colin that the peppers were sweet. Dad took a bite of the pepper to show him they were not hot. What was Colin thinking? Dad did not bite into the middle of the pepper. Colin took a big bite right in the middle of it and he, screamed and he screamed! Colin yelled, "Liar!" Dad bit into the middle of the pepper and ran to get the milk. If dad runs to get the milk I will not try it. That means it is one hot pepper.

These are very strange peppers. If you bite where there are no seeds they are sweeter than the sweetest bell pepper. If you bite where there are seeds they are hotter than a jalepeno.

Green Camp

Toady I am getting ready to go to Green Camp for the second time. The last time I was there I did lots of things like planting a tree. I'm so anxious to see it again. I also caught scary lizards. I wonder what we are going to do this time?

Fire

A few days ago Colin and I made a fire with a magnifying glass. It took us one hour to make it and for are success we were treated with home made marshmallows and we roasted them . Two days later we made a other fire hoping to get more marshmallows. I guess we were wrong.

A New Snake

On the 20 of February 2011 my dad came in the living room with a hatchling of a brown house snake in a jar. I thought it was the dead snake that was in the freezer, but it was alive snake. Right now it is in the tank with the six-inch long millipedes.

This morning Grayson put a baby frog in the tank. Around 11 o’clock 21 of Feb the snake disappeared from under the log and the frog is no longer in the millipede hole. I think the snake ate the frog, but my dad said it didn’t. So far we haven’t seen it since it left its hiding place.

Two Chameleons

The other day I found two chameleons in our yard. One was turning black and it would hiss and snarl while the other one tried to bite. To catch one you have to beware of their mouth, because they bite! I made one of the chameleons claw Grayson. he he he!!! To catch one of the chameleons, I pushed on it’s back, so it would creep forward onto my hand and then I lifted my hand. When a chameleon climes on a person it hurts, because they have long sharp claw feet. They have dull yellow tongues. I fed them some bugs for lunch. I put bugs on a pencil and then one would shoot its tongue to get the bug. When we let them go they were exhausted.

Holy Fungus

I found this fungus that looks like human fingers growing at the bottom of a snag* in our back yard.

*A snag is a dead tree
